They’re brave and unselfish, and always willing to provide a helping hand to those who want it. A hero is someone who is thoughtful and never gives up no matter how tough it is. Every hero has certain heroic uniqueness. Beowulf illustrates for the most part a brave man of the Anglo-Saxon times. Beowulf is the male protagonist. He shows that he is a great man by always putting other things before his own needs. â€Å"So the Spear-Danes in days gone by and the kings who ruled them had courage and greatness. We have heard of those princes’ heroic campaigns.(1-3) He is significant and needed by his people and is known by many as a physically powerful, courageous and a a person who is ready to lend a hand. He shows all of the qualities and traits that a true hero possesses. Beowulf, like other epic heroes, possesses the following heroic behavior such as great bravery, intelligence, strength and originality. He has a strong appreciation for the values of the society. This story is centered on Beowulf, the main character, who goes to Denmark to offer his help in fighting off, Grendel, the monster who has been haunting them.
